Will Daddy Dalton pull it off???

Will Dalton McGuinty be able to do what no other Liberal Premier in Ontario History has done, and that's winning 3 back to back elections?

Last week a poll came out that had McGuinty's approval rating at only 16%, with the party in the mid 30's. The Liberals have a big battle leading up to the October 6th election date. With the mood of the Province looking for tax relief, lower energy costs, and a more accountable government at Queens Park, I just don't think he can pull it off and win another Majority. At the same time does Tim Hudak the leader of the Ontario PC's have what it takes to become Premier. The answer is no, Hudak has the baggage of being part of the Harris PC's and if anything the people hate more than the Liberals, is a PC government which will look like the old days of Mike Harris.

I predict that the Liberals will be returned to power but with a minority government, and right after the election Dalton will step down as leader and Premier and take a shot at Federal Politics. A minority government is not a bad thing, and I think it would work fine in Ontario.

So here's my seat prediction for the October 2011 election.

Liberals 51 seats
PC's       39 seats
NDP       14 seats
Greens     3 seats

Until next time!
